Bir Uttam Munshi Abdur Rouf Memorial is located in the bank of river Kamtuli in Nayanarchar upazila. About 30 to 40 kilo of river route is going on from the Rangamati Sadar district to the launch.Munshi Abdur Rouf (1 May 1943 - 8 April 1971) A martyr freedom fighter participating in the liberation war of Bangladesh. He is one of the seven heroes who have been honored with the title of "Bir Shrestha", the highest military honor of Bangladesh in recognition of his bravery and outstanding heroism in the great liberation war of Bangladesh. He joined East Pakistan Rifles on 8 May 1963 and during his war of liberation, he was working as a regular infantry. On 8th April 1971, he was killed in a mortuary by a mortar in front of the Pakistani occupation army in Burighat village of Chittagong Hill Tracts. He was buried at a hill station in Naniarchar upazila in Rangamati district.
